ArtSmart

ArtSmart is a two-week summer program hosted by the Texas Artists Museum that is geared toward students ages 7 to 12.

During Week 1, these budding artists learn with Mr. John Manuel, who teaches them that crayons are for more than coloring books, colored pencils can show contrast, water colors can be applied over other mediums, and acrylic paints can cover mistakes!

During Week 2, McKenzie Trosclair guides the students in using innovative methods to create stunning pieces of art. McKenzie teaches shaving cream art, scratch art, the art of secret messages, shadow painting, scrape painting, and 3D art crafting. And McKenzie's art techniques wouldn't be complete without water gun painting!
